PROFESSIONAL
Worked in a general store while attending
high school and after moving to Billings, Montana worked
for Buttreys department store in various capacities.
In 1960 began working for a wholesale distributor of
pocket books and magazines and in 1964 began a 16 year
career with SCM Corporation. In 1968 moved to Columbia,
South Carolina and served as a staff instructor at the
SCM Training Institute teaching basic and advanced electronics.
While living in Columbia attended the University of South
Carolina. In 1970 moved to California and became the
Regional Electronic Specialist on the West Coast for
SCM Corporation. For the last three years at SCM was
Manager of new product improvement.
In 1980 began a career with Carl Zeiss
Meditec, inc. and currently serves as the Director of Corporate
Service Operations having completed 26 years with the company.
Currently work three days a week and on call for two.
Masonic
Received Masonic degrees in Rimrock
Lodge No. 149 in Billings, Montana and became a Master
Mason in February 1964 joined the Scottish Rite in April
and Al Bedoo Shrine in May of 1964. Still belong to Rimrock
Lodge, however, affiliated with the Oakland Valley of the
Scottish Rite and Aahmes Shrine after the family moved
to California.
Affiliated with Ashland Lodge No 798
in 1975 and is a Past Master of Ashland Lodge No 798, now
Crow Canyon Lodge No 551, having served as Master in 1979.
Served as officers coach for many years and received the
Hiram Award in July of 1983. Currently serve as a trustee
for Crow Canyon Lodge No 551.
In January 1990 was appointed an Inspector
of Division I serving until December of 2001 for a total
of 12 years.
Served Grand Lodge as Grand Bible Bearer
in 2005 and Chairman of Annual Communications Activities
Committee in 2006.
Received Master of the Grand Cross
of Color, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls,
and served as Rainbow Dad for daughter, Kim, in 1977.
Member of San Lorenzo Chapter Order
of the Eastern Star since 1975 serving as Worthy Patron
in 1977, 1994, 1999, 2002, 2005, 2006 and is the 2007 Worthy
Patron.
A Past Director of Oakland Court 6
Royal Order of Jesters serving as Director in 2002.
Served as President of the Past Masters
Unit of the Aahmes Shrine in 1988 and as its Degree Chairman
for a number of years. Appointed an Assistant Outer Guard
and Membership Chairman for Aahmes Shrine 1989.
